De overheid gaf grote voorschotten aan woningbouwverenigingen om daarmee voor oplossingen te zorgen. Het terrein om Landgoed Rosehaghe bleek ideaal te zijn om een woonwijk op te bouwen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-9053c107a7f5f27993a19f37f71a560d\">Op 6 augustus 1918 werd dan ook woningbouwvereniging Rosehaghe opgericht. De Haarlemse architect Ir Johannes Bernardus (Han) van Loghem werd hiervoor aangetrokken. Hij ontwierp 12 huizenblokken met 135 woningen en 3 winkels. Aan de Hoofmanstraat werd ook een gemeenschapshuis opgericht, met een beheerderswoning erboven, voor die tijd een behoorlijke noviteit.
